The show scheduled for June 10 by Michel Martelly and his group Sweet Micky in a private performance hall, located in Sarcelles in the Paris suburbs, has been banned.

Patrick Haddad, the Mayor of Sarcelles following pressure from certain anti-Micky activists from the Haitian community, living in France and abroad, after meeting with the prefectural authorities, as well as the organizer of the show who demonstrated her inability to ensure the safety of a demonstration presenting a high risk of disturbing public order, decided to prohibit the holding of this show in Sarcelles and signed a municipal decree giving legal effect to its decision.

The Mayor stressed that texts, unhealthy remarks and sexist provocations, some advocating the rape and humiliation of women, have no place in Sarcelles. Concluding "I made known my decision and testify to the entire Haitian community, my esteem and my friendship."

Let's remember that after Montreal and Miami last month this is the 3rd show of Michel Martelly and his group to be banned...
