Early Sunday, June 5, 2 individuals playing the role of scout for the so-called "Jeff" gang leader, operating in Canaan on National Road #1, were fatally injured during a police operation.

These two armed individuals called "Toutè" in Creole, had among other missions, to inform and warn in real time using telephone means, their accomplices on police activities in this area ensured the supervision on the RN1 motorcycle taxis working for the gang.

At the same time, as part of the police interventions at the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac, the named Guerrier Franky Hans Danley alias "Marasa", was shot and wounded in the locality of Corail (Commune of Croix des Bouquets).

He is currently receiving treatment in a hospital center where he is under police surveillance before being transferred to the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ).
