iciHaiti - Cuba : The decision to ban payments in US dollars in diplomatic missions unwelcome
The decision of the Central Bank of Cuba to change the currency in which consular services are paid, in euros and no more in US dollars, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-36901-haiti-flash-passage-from-the-dollar-to-the-euro-the-embassy-of-haiti-announces-new-rates.html was not well received by all.

Several diplomatic representations such as Ecuador, Panama and Mexico in Havana, have temporarily suspended paid consular services from June 10, 2022 until further notice.

As an alternative, the BCC allows consular services to be paid for by bank transfer, either in Cuban pesos or in foreign currencies, excluding US dollars or via international Visa, MasterCard or national cards in Freely Convertible Currency (MLC).
