Monday, October 31, 2022, an operation carried out by the Departmental Judicial Police Service (SDPJ) and the Departmental Unit for Maintaining Order (UDMO - South-East) accompanied by the Deputy Government Commissioner Me Royal Mathurin and the judge of Peace of the commune of Marigot Me Anofène enabled the dismantling of a dangerous gang which was rampant in the area of Macary, 3rd communal section of Marigot (South-East Dept.).

Let's recall that this gang was the subject of multiple complaints for assassinations and attempted assassinations, armed robberies, robberies, illegal possession of firearms and criminal association.

During this operation, 6 individuals including gang leader Alexis Daniel alias "Ti-Daniel" were arrested.

Two of the individuals arrested, Alexis Daniel and Soifaite James, confessed to have killed Olice Marseille and Pansely Beaujour with the handguns found in their possession.

In addition, a Luger pistol, caliber 9mm, a Smith & Wesson revolver, caliber 38 and a homemade weapon capable of firing 12 cartridges were seized as well as a balaclava, 6 machetes, 2 poignands and 5 telephones between others…
