On November 8, 2022, the National Old-Age Insurance Office celebrated its 57th anniversary of creation. As part of this event, Jemley Marc Jean Baptiste, the Director General of the ONA addressed a few words of circumstance :

"We are celebrating the anniversary of the creation of the ONA in a particular context. Our country is facing multiple crises. The atmosphere is therefore not for major manifestations. However, despite the doubts and the socio-political climate, the institution has never ceased to play its leading role in social protection policy in Haiti.

In 1965, the ONA was a promise. Today, the institution serves more than 7,000 pensioners. To become the flagship of social security, the ONA needs time, perseverance, insight and knowledge. Old-age insurance is an acquired, patient construction that has grown into what we know today : a system that has already served more than 35,000 pensioners.

For the coming year, we will strive to continue to work towards the modernization of the institution and the strengthening of its capacities in order to better serve our pensioners and our insured persons. Also, we are aiming for a socially and financially sustainable institution, which is an important lever for economic growth, an increase in the standard of living and a reduction in inequalities.

In these difficult times in our history, the ONA remains convinced that another Haiti is possible and calls on the civic conscience of everyone to make it possible.

On this 57th anniversary, the General Directorate calls on all employees, contributors, managers, partners and small staff to work for the size and vitality of the Institution.
