On Sunday November 20, 2022 in the morning, Dioda Saintilus (35), has been arrested in Quartier-Morin, a town in the North department, for his alleged involvement in a case of assassination.

Saintilus, a deportee from the United States, was actively wanted by the Police for his alleged involvement in an armed attack perpetrated in Morne Rouge, Plaine du Nord, on the afternoon of Thursday August 25, 2022, where Berome Pierre (62 years old ), and US citizen Success Petit (77) were shot dead. During the same attack, three other people were injured and rushed to hospital.

For the moment, Dioda Saintilus is placed in police custody pending the necessary legal action.
