iciHaiti - Roads : Public works are active on our roads

Engineers and technicians from the Ministry of Public Works spare no effort to improve the poor condition of certain sections of roads.

The pilot program for cleaning, rehabilitation of road sections and pavement repair continues in several provincial towns and in the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince.

The works to fill in the "potholes" on Street Roi and Avenue Christophe are in progress. Mechanical cleaning on the RN1, Cazeau area, and at Bon Repos with clearing continues.

On the Terminal de Varreux road, re-profiling work is in progress.

The cleaning service on the airport road as well as the manual cleaning on the Clercine road, DCPJ area, is being carried out.

Other areas of the capital will also be affected by this work.

The reprofiling and supply of materials on the Dondon road section in Grand-Anse, Grand Gilles area, Ménard crossroads, are in the implementation phase. While on the General Marion road in Les Cayes, the formwork, reinforcement and the laying of concrete on a scupper are being carried out. Stripping and diversion work on the Pont Bois d’Hommes river is also carried out in the Nord department.

The Minister of Public Works Engineer Rosemond Pradel is working with the limited resources available to the ministry, in order to facilitate car traffic and relieve the ordeal of road users as the end of year celebrations approach.
