iciHaiti - Justice : Illegal and arbitrary prolonged preventive detention
Friday January 6, 2023 Émmelie Prophète-Milcé, the Acting Minister of Justice, accompanied by her Director of Cabinet, Me Paul Eronce Villard and the Director General of the Ministry, Me Jean Fallières Bazelais, met with Eric Stromayer in charge of U.S. Embassy Haiti Affairs
Several points were discussed, including the fight against prolonged, illegal and arbitrary preventive detention, one of Minister Prohète-Milcé's priorities.
The two parties agreed to work together to strengthen cooperation between Haiti and the United States, in matters of justice and public security, among others.
