Saturday April 1st, 2023, around 6:00 p.m., at the corner of rue Oswald Durand and rue Saint-Honoré, a patrol of agents from the Departmental Order Maintenance Unit (UDMO 5) and the Brigade of intervention (BI-1), informed of a kidnapping attempt, quickly intervened on the scene.

During the exchange of fire with the police, two of the kidnappers were fatally shot and a pistol was recovered.

Faced with the firepower of the police, their accomplices fled without their hostage who took the opportunity to escape.

The National Police of Haiti, does not intend to give up in the fight against organized crime and seeks, once again, the collaboration of the population in this process.
