The Ministry of Culture salutes the memory of Mireille Pérodin Jérôme who died at the age of 70, art critic, gallery owner, exhibition curator, teacher and well-known figure in the Haitian artistic and cultural community.

Native of Port-au-Prince (born April 13, 1952), Mireille Pérodin Jérôme directed the Ateliers Jean-René Jérôme for a long time, named after her husband, the famous artist Jean-René Jerôme, whose works participated in the renewal of the figurative codes of Haitian plastic art.

Les Ateliers Jérôme, in the Champ de Mars, which was one of his best-known addresses, (currently in Pétion-Ville) has been a place of reference which has hosted various cultural activities, including signature sales and readings.
