Saturday, April 8, 2023 following the assault attempts by bandits from the Canaan gang, several specialized units of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) were deployed in Onaville (northern entrance to Port-au-Prince) on the orders of Frantz Elbé, Acting Commander of the National Police.

To thwart the bandits who want to terrorize the population at all costs, and to seize this territory, the police accompanied by members of the PNH heavy machinery and armored vehicles section took control of this area to ensure safety.

The population of Onaville welcomed, with a feeling of satisfaction and joy, the arrival of the Police in the area that the members of the Canaan gang seek to control.

The police institution still believes in the frank collaboration of each citizen to locate bandits as part of the fight against large gangs.
