The Communication Office of the Primature informs the general population of the holding, on May 18, 2023 in Cap-Haitien, of the commemorative ceremonies of the 220 years of creation of the national Bicolore.

On the eve of Flag Day, the Head of Government will inaugurate the National School of Acul-du-Nord, Jean Baptiste Dutty Boukman, built by the National Education Fund (FNE).

The Te Deum and the ceremonies of homage to the official platform at Boulevard du Cap-Haitien will be broadcast live on the National Television of Haiti, the National Radio of Haiti, on the Facebook page of the Primature, media of the capital, provincial towns and social media.

Activity schedule:

Day 1: May 17, 2023 at 5 p.m. at King Henry University (Lemonade)

Celebration of Tribute and Distinctions to Haitian Teachers

Presentation of honor plaques, shows, cultural activities and cocktails.

Day 2: May 18, 2023, Cathedral Square (Cap-Haitien)

7:30 a.m.: Arrival of the Officials on the Square

8:00 a.m.: Sending of the Flag

Floral offering at the monument of Emperor Jean Jacques Dessalines on the Place, followed by Te Deum at the Cathedral

At the end of the Te Deum at Boulevard du Cap-Haitien:

Demonstrations of homage to the Flag

Parade of Majorettes, military parades, speeches.

The official lunch will be offered at the Town Hall of the City
