On Friday, July 11, 2025, the National Police, through the Departmental Law Enforcement Unit (UDMO-West 2) and the Departmental Judicial Police Service (SDPJ), accompanied by the Government Commissioner of Croix-des-Bouquets, conducted an operation in the Clercine and Gérald Bataille areas, at several commercial warehouses.

During this operation, a dozen people were arrested on suspicion of involvement in gang activities, particularly to facilitate the sale of products and equipment stolen or misappropriated by bandits.

Furthermore, judicial authorities sealed more than 20 commercial warehouses as a precautionary measure. Investigations are underway to bring to justice all those involved in this practice.
