Wednesday, May 31, 2023, Divisional Commissioner Clevens Cétoute, West II Departmental Director of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), proceeded to the installation of Police Commissioner Joseph Hérard as the new head of the Departmental Unit of Maintaining Order (UDMO/West-2)

Police Commissioner Joseph Hérard replaces Divisional Inspector Sadrac Désir, who spent about two years at the head of UDMO/West-2, playing an important role in operations aimed at dismantling armed gangs operating in particular in the plain of Cul-de-Sac.

This change aims to further boost the efforts of the Departmental Police Department in the fight against insecurity and organized crime in particular.
