A delegation of Haitian athletes qualified for the IX Games of the Francophonie and sports officials left the country on July 31 for Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo) where the IX Francophone Games are taking place (40 countries and more than 3,000 athletes)

This reduced delegation composed in concert with the basketball, judo, cycling and table tennis federations is going to Kinshasa for exchanges, within the framework of the Games, with young French-speaking people from the other federations.

Because, alongside the competitions, one of the objectives of the Games is to contribute to the promotion of peace and development through meetings and exchanges between young French-speaking people...

Since the official launch of the games, 89 medals have been won. So far Haiti does not appear on the medal table:

#8 Canada: 4 medals including 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze

#9 Tunisia: 4 medals including 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze

#10 Djibouti: 2 medals including 1 gold and 1 bronze

#11 Mauritius: 1 gold

#12 Ivory Coast: 3 medals including (2 silver and 1 bronze

# 13 Congo-Brazzaville: 4 medals including 1 silver and 3 bronze

# 14 Madagascar: 1 silver

# 15 Niger: 1 silver

#16 Burkina Faso: 2 bronze

#17 Canada New Brunswick: 2 bronze

#18 Gabon: 1 Bronze
