iciHaiti - Heritage : Plea for the restoration of the «Bois Caïman»
In order to draw the attention of the population in Haiti and of Haitians throughout the world, to the importance and the restoration of the "Bois Caïman", the State authorities and all the actors of national life, the team of the Initiative of Haitian Women in Tourism-IFTH and Seo Tour Haiti-STH, in partnership with the Office of the Youth Organization for the United Nations of Africa in Haiti-BOJNUAH launched a campaign (until August 23, 2023) advocacy around the restoration of "Bois Caïman", this historic and symbolic site located a few kilometers from Cap-Haitien and Plaine-du-Nord.

This advocacy aims to encourage and raise awareness among Haitians to discover the wealth of the country and also to develop in them a sense of belonging and commitment to Haiti.

The abandonment and degradation of this mythical place is the very expression of our ingratitude towards our ancestors who fought so that Haitians would be free today. All Haitians must visit this place, which is the symbol of freedom in the history of humanity.
