The National Ambulance Center (CAN) has provided us with its summary statistical assessment of the pre-hospital care of various emergency cases carried out by the Center during the month of August 2023.

Of the 771 cases supported by the CAN in August 2023 (+2.66% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-40325-icihaiti-health-report-of-the-national-ambulance-center-july-2023.html ), transfers (37%) and obstetric emergencies (22%) were the two most important items.

Number and types of interventions:

2 suspected cases of cholera;

2 confirmed cases of cholera;

58 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);

77 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);

170 obstetric emergencies;

49 Public Road Accidents;

284 transfers (references and laboratory examinations);

41 traumas (injuries & fractures of varying degrees);

4 gunshot wounds;

7 stab wounds;

4 cases of burns

73 various conditions (malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc...)
