Following several months of studies on the naming of municipal roads and the numbering of homes, the municipality of Cap-Haitien is launching its municipal addressing project.

The address is essential information allowing the precise identification of the location of buildings, homes, businesses and notable sites. The standardization of the naming of roads allows a refined knowledge of the municipality.

In this project, financed by the World Bank, the municipality is supported by the Center for International Study and Cooperation (CECI).

Let's remember that the Municipality has the power to name and number streets, public squares, municipal roads and rural roads open to traffic. As such, it is up to the municipality to install the plates naming the streets and roads and to organize the issuance of the numbering of homes.
