Wen-jiann KU, Ambassador Taiwan (Republic of China), presented a check for $1.5 million to the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES).

The Taiwanese Government made this new disbursement to support the “Kore Pèp” Program in accordance with the financial partnership agreement signed with the Haitian Government for a period of 18 months.

At the invitation of Paul Harry Voltaire, the Director General of FAES Ambassador KU went to the SONAPI premises in order to appreciate the process of preparing hot dishes which are intended for vulnerable populations.

On this occasion, hot meals were distributed to vulnerable people present on site.

The FAES has increased its production rate in order to help internally displaced people. For about two weeks, the institution has been producing around 12,000 hot meals per day to feed the displaced people of Carrefour-Feuilles.
