The National Ambulance Center (CAN) has provided us with its summary statistical assessment of the pre-hospital care of various emergency cases carried out by the Center during the month of September 2023.

Of the 609 cases supported by the CAN in August 2023 (-21.01% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-40493-icihaiti-health-report-of-the-national-ambulance-center-august-2023.html ), transfers (34%) and obstetric emergencies (24%) were the two most important items.

Number and types of interventions:

4 suspected cases of cholera;

27 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);

42 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);

144 obstetric emergencies;

54 Public Road Accidents;

206 transfers (references and laboratory examinations);

22 traumas (injuries & fractures of varying degrees);

7 gunshot wounds;

11 stab wounds;

4 cases of burns

88 various conditions (discomfort, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.).
