Friday, November 3rd, 2023, the elections were held to designate the new members of the Deanship of the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences (FDSE) of the State University of Haiti (UEH).

Me Jean Eugène Pierre-Louis, Professor of Administrative Law, was elected Dean of the FDSE with 53.3% of the votes cast. He replaces Mr. Elie Méus in this position.

He will be supported by two vice-deans. They are Professor Caleb Deshomme from the Department of Legal Sciences), elected at the expense of his opponents Vogley Cadet and Alex Julien who will face each other in the second round on Thursday, November 9.

During his speech the new dean expressed his desire to work closely with professors, staff and students to promote academic excellence and strengthen the reputation of the faculty and placed emphasis on change and promised an era of renewal and innovation.

Expectations are high, and the academic community looks forward to the future accomplishments of this leadership team.
