Saturday November 4, 2023, Meleck Étienne alias "Dieufort" member of a gang operating in Limbé and Cap-Haïtien, actively sought by the Police in the assassination of entrepreneur Gros Yvon, in June 2023, in Limbé, was mortally injured in exchanges of fire with the Police, during an operation carried out by agents of the Limbé Police Station
A 9mm caliber firearm, cartridges and a motorcycle without a license plate on which he was on were also seized by the Police.
