The Consulate General of Haiti in Santiago in the Dominican Republic, informs the Haitian community of the Cibao region in general and passport applicants in particular, that Jean Victor Genéus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has spoken out on the delay in the delivery of passports deposited for months in Washington, while apologizing for the quality of the service which sometimes puts Haitian nationals living in the Dominican Republic but also in Brazil and Chile in difficulty.

Desperate by the current situation and the long wait for this precious document, our compatriots must be able to breathe, because the Chancellor announced that after a total interruption of the manufacturing process and measures will be taken to resolve this technical problem facing the printing center in Washington while improving service and delivering passports within a short time. Engineers are working to resolve this problem, the causes of which have not been explained or how long this "brief delay" represents.

The Consulate General of Haiti in Santiago informs that it will communicate to the community the arrival of the next stock of passports in order to allow Haitians to take a step forward in their regularization process.
