iciHaiti - Health : Towards a shortage of medical oxygen
Finding oxygen for hospital patients has become very difficult and a shortage has started to be felt in recent days.
The company "Industrial Dynamics," one of the main suppliers of oxygen, explained that clashes between gangs in La Saline are the cause of this shortage. Affirming that a large shipment of oxygen was in customs and duties paid but that it was impossible for the company to release its cargo, La Saline being entirely under the control of gangs.
The Industrial Dynamics company requests a protective intervention from the Haitian National Police (PNH) to get the oxygen out of customs and escort the Ministry of Public Health with the precious gas to the company's warehouses.
