iciHaiti - Nations League 2024-2025 : Haiti knows its opponents

Monday May 6 in Miami (FL), the draw for the Group stage of the Nations League for the 2024-2025 season took place

Haiti will play in League B and will be placed in pot 1, which places it among the four seeds for the official draw.

Composition of the pots :

- Pot 1: Haiti, Salvador, Curaçao, Dominican Republic

- Pot 2: Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Montserrat, Saint Lucia

- Pot 3: Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba

- Pot 4: Dominica, Bonaire, Saint-Martin, Sint Maarten

Matches will take place during this year's September, October and November FIFA windows, with each team playing their group opponents twice, for a total of 6 matches per team during these periods:

September 2-10, 2024 : Group stage, Leagues A, B & C

Oct. 7-15, 2024 : Group stage, Leagues A, B & C

Nov. 11-19, 2024 : League A quarter-final / League B group stage

March 20-23, 2025 : Nations League Finals

For each FIFA window, group matches will be played at a centralized location, replacing the previous home-and-away format. This change in format aims to optimize logistics and improve the overall experience for teams and spectators. The third highest ranked teams in each group will host the September matches, the second highest ranked teams in October, and the top teams in the decisive November matches. If a team cannot host matches, Concacaf reserves the right to select another venue.

The stakes are crucial for the Haitian team: not only a return to League A but also qualification for the prestigious Gold Cup 2025, for which Concacaf will soon announce the precise criteria. At the end of this League B, the group winners will be promoted to League A and the teams ranked fourth will be relegated to League C.

Following the draw, our national selection knows its opponents. In Group C Haiti will face Puerto Rico, Aruba and Sint Maarteen, very affordable opponents for our Grenadiers and a very probable return to League A...
