Wednesday May 15, 2024, according to the latest statistics communicated by the Customs and Border Protection (CBP), more than 184,000 Haitians were approved under the conditional stay program ("Humanitarian parole"), more known as the Biden program

Among the four countries benefiting from the program (Haiti, Venezuela Cuba and Nicaragua) the Haitians are in first position with more than 180,000 citizens approved far ahead of the Venezuelans in second position with 109,200 citizens approved.

From January 2023 to the end of April 2024, 184,600 Haitians received their travel authorization to enter the United States. However, only 90% are currently on American territory, indicates the CBP. This could be explained by the difficulties encountered by 17,900 approved Haitians trapped in Haiti for 2 months before the closure of the airports...
