iciHaiti - Security : New curfew

As part of the state of emergency from May 9 to Wednesday June 8, 2024, with a view to restoring order and taking appropriate measures to regain control of the situation, the Government is establishing a curfew throughout the West Department from Wednesday May 22 to Tuesday May 28, 2024 between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

This measure does not apply to law enforcement officers on duty, firefighters, ambulance drivers, health personnel and duly identified journalists.

During the period of the state of emergency, all demonstrations on public roads are prohibited, day or night, in the West department.

Consequently, the police were ordered to use all legal means at their disposal to enforce the curfew and apprehend all offenders.
