The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) learned with sadness of the death on Sunday June 23, 2024, at the age of 90, Friday June 21, 2024, of one of its former members, Dr. in medicine Robert Germain native from Pétion-ville.

A former professor at the Faculty of Medicine, this close friend of the Aigle Noir devoted a large part of his life to the service of sport in general.

In addition to having been head of the Federal Office, Doctor Germain was also Minister of Sports (August 1962 - February 1984) under the government of Jean-Claude Duvalier in the early 1980s.

"The FHF presents its sincere condolences to all those affected by the disappearance of this great benefactor of our national sport.

Rest in peace"
