The FIFA ranking of September 2024, places Haiti in the 86th place in the world with 1,278.56 points, while maintaining its presence in the top 10 of the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean (CONCACAF), 9th regional place.
Although the Grenadiers have lost one rank compared to the previous ranking, this slight drop is due to the strong progression of Angola which has advanced 5 places to reach the 85th position.
Despite this, Haiti has strengthened its position by gaining 16.61 more points compared to Curaçao, currently 88th with 1,261.95 points. The latter, however, remains a direct competitor to watch, as any improvement in its ranking could jeopardize Haiti's place in "pot 2" for the draw for the third phase of the Concacaf qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
French coach Sébastien Migné and his team are determined to avoid this scenario, as evidenced by Haiti's last five matches, which have resulted in four wins and one draw. This positive serie of results allows the Grenadiers to approach the next stages of the qualifiers with confidence and some room to maneuver.
