iciHaiti - Spain floods : The Haitian community of Valencia safe and sound 06/11/2024 09:11:05
Since the tragedy until today, the consular section of the Embassy has contacted the compatriots of the Valencian Community where there are 27 in total; and others in Barcelona, approximately 109 Haitians, according to the estimated figures of the register of the Spanish National Institute of Statistics. This communication has made it possible to locate them and know the situation in real time to provide the necessary consular assistance. To date, the Mission has not recorded any compatriots who have lost their lives. The Consular Section will continue to collaborate with the entities of the autonomous communities of Spain to obtain adequate information on the Haitian community living in the affected areas.
