iciHaiti - Restitution Workshop : Drinking Water, Review of the Emergency Pack
As part of strengthening institutional capacity to respond to Drinking Water and Sanitation (DWS) emergencies, DINEPA, in collaboration with UNICEF, organized a workshop (in person and online) to present the proposed restructuring plan for the Emergency Response Department, as well as the revised version of the Emergency Pack.

This initiative is part of a dynamic drive to continuously improve emergency management mechanisms, taking into account the current institutional and operational realities of the sector.

Accordingly, for two days, executives from DINEPA, the Regional Drinking Water and Sanitation Offices (OREPA), and technical partners met to :

• Share proposals related to the new structure of the DWS Emergency Department, including its missions and organizational and functional resources;

• Discuss the consolidated version of the Emergency Pack as a harmonized response tool at the national level;

• Collectively validate the strategic axes of the DRU restructuring and strengthening plan;

• Plan the next steps towards the efficient implementation of these measures.

The workshop was also an opportunity to gather stakeholder input, adjust strategic documents, and strengthen institutional ownership of the tools developed for Drinking Water and Sanitation (DWS) emergencies.
