iciHaiti - Taiwan : Celebration of a 2nd abundant rice harvest
As the year draws to a close, the Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) to Haiti celebrates a second successful rice harvest in the Artibonite Department. Known as the "granary of Haiti", this region is the largest rice producing region in the country. The year’s successful harvest is a milestone that reflects the hard work of local farmers and the TTM’s long-term dedication to Haiti’s agricultural development.

Improving Agricultural Efficiency through Service Centers :
TTM worked with the Haitian Ministry of Agriculture, in coordination with the Artibonite Valley Development Organization (ODVA), to establish 6 Farmer Service Centers as part of the "Project to Improve Rice Production in the Artibonite Valley, Haiti."

These centers, equipped with spacious drying grounds, sieves, winnowing machines, and bag-sealing tools, enable farmers to conveniently complete post-harvest operations near their fields. This not only reduces transportation costs but also enhances rice quality.

Collaboration for Stability and Growth :
Through the joint efforts of the TTM and ODVA, farmers have gradually become familiar with the operations of these service centers, allowing them to produce high-quality rice with greater ease. In the face of challenging security conditions, these centers serve as vital pillars of stability, offering safety and hope to local communities.
