In a partial report from the Civil Protection Directorate dated December 23, the floods in Port-de-Paix caused 7 deaths and 10 serious injuries. 11,000 homes, shops, businesses were flooded, a hundred houses were destroyed by the waters and 500 others were seriously damaged... "This decision is taken to protect the population, limit the risk of further damage and respond more quickly to urgent needs.
