On Monday, January 6, 2025, Jacky Alexis, the President of the Haitian Socca Federation (FHS), Jacky Alexis, met with the Presidential Transition Advisor (CPT) Edgard Leblanc Fils to discuss the efforts undertaken for the development of the Haitian Socca Federation.

Jacky Alexis took the opportunity to present the Advisor with a jersey of the Haitian selection that participated in the Socca World Cup in Oman (Middle East) in November 2024, as well as the fair play trophy awarded to Haiti, an award that rewards the sportsmanship and resilience of the team, which was the only representative of the Caribbean in this competition organized in the Middle East.

It should be recalled that Advisor Edgard Leblanc Fils had played a decisive role in the participation of the Haitian selection in the World Cup. The two men discussed the challenges facing the Haitian Socca Federation, as well as the initiatives underway to promote this sport in Haiti. They also discussed strategies to increase Haiti's international recognition in this discipline, while training a new generation of athletes for regional and world competitions.

Haiti is preparing to participate in the Copa América de Socca, scheduled for July 2025 in Brazil, and the World Socca Championship in November 2025. Preparations for these upcoming events will begin this January.
