On Tuesday, 14 January 2025, a high-level meeting was held in Zurich between Monique André, the recently appointed President of the Normalisation Committee of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), and several senior FIFA officials, including Mattias Grafström, FIFA Deputy Secretary General, Kevin Lamour, Head of Operations, Marie-Laure Lemineur, Head of Child Protection and Safeguarding, and Jair Bertoni, Director of Member Associations for the Americas.

During this meeting, major topics were discussed, including the challenges facing Haitian football, amplified by the current security context. Discussions also focused on the significant progress made by the Normalisation Committee in carrying out its mandate, despite the many difficulties encountered.

FIFA reaffirmed its full confidence in the Committee and underlined its commitment to support it, both technically and institutionally. This support aims to overcome current challenges and prepare the conditions for launching the electoral process. The adoption of the statutes remains a key step to ensure stable, transparent and sustainable governance of Haitian football, while laying the foundations for an inclusive structure in the long term.

This meeting marks an important step in the collaboration between FIFA and the Normalization Committee, with a common objective: to strengthen the foundations of Haitian football and ensure its future through exemplary governance.
