iciHaiti - Humanitarian : Strategic meeting of the Port-au-Prince City Hall
Ralph Youri Chevry, the Mayor of Port-au-Prince, organized a strategic meeting, in the presence of the Director General, the Deputy Director General, the Chief of Staff and the head of Civil Protection of the City Hall, with key partners such as the General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGPC), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), UNICEF and the Research and Technological Exchange Group (GRET).

This meeting aimed to take stock of the ongoing interventions in the internally displaced persons camps, with a view to ensuring better coordination of humanitarian actions.

The main objective of this initiative was to centralize the management of interventions through the Municipal Civil Protection.

From now on, all actions carried out by partners will be validated in advance by the City Hall in order to guarantee effective and harmonized coordination.

During the meeting, the different partners presented an overview of their ongoing efforts in the camps, a way to highlight their respective commitments to improve the living conditions of internally displaced persons and meet their basic needs.
