On Thursday, January 30, 2025, in order to strengthen the operational capacity of the Departmental Directorate of the South-East Police, two vehicles were handed over to the jurisdiction on the instructions of Rameau Normil, Acting Director General of the National Police of Haiti.

The provision of these vehicles came a few days after Rameau Normil's visit to the South-East metropolis, where he met with the Heads of the South-East Police, around the various needs that the jurisdiction particularly requires to face the current challenges related to serious crime.

Divisional Commissioner Jean Gabriel Gabart, Acting Departmental Director of the Police of the South-East department, thanked Commander Normil for this important support, which will contribute to the strengthening of police patrols, particularly in the strategic axes of the department, at a time when armed bandits are seeking refuge in the provinces after being hunted down by law enforcement in the capital.
