iciHaiti - Football : International recognition of the qualities of Haitian officials
The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) announces the appointment of Ms. Marie Elise Obas as Coordinator of Group G matches in the framework of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Countries (CONCACAF) qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 Men's World Cup.

As a FIFA official and representative of the FHF, Ms. Obas will be responsible for coordinating the 6 matches in Group G, which will pit the U-17 teams of Panama, the Dominican Republic, Aruba and Grenada against each other. These matches will take place at the Rommel Fernández Stadium in Panama City.

The FHF congratulates Ms. Obas on this prestigious appointment and wishes her every success in the exercise of her functions. It also emphasizes that several Haitian officials continue to distinguish themselves on the international scene thanks to their competence and professionalism.

For example, referee Smeedy Saint-Jean was recently in Trinidad for the U-20 women’s qualifiers, where she officiated as fourth official during a match on January 27 before assuming the role of head referee three days later. In addition, Benjamin Kendy Sylveus is being asked to participate in the U-17 men’s qualifiers in Mexico next week.

These appointments demonstrate once again the international recognition of the qualities of Haitian officials and their commitment to contributing to the development of football.
