Despite the challenges related to the socio-political context, 25,130 donors came forward in 2025, allowing for the collection of 18,083 bags. However, 81% of these donations came from replacement donors, compared to only 19% from voluntary donors. Of the 32,471 requests received (including 30,452 for adults and 2,019 for children), 8% of the bags had to be rejected due to positive infectious markers, and only 58.92% of the needs could be met, not including unexpressed needs. On behalf of all beneficiary patients, the Ministry of Health would like to thank : • Blood donors, whose selfless gesture saved lives and should continue to inspire others; • Donor associations and partner institutions, who facilitated the organization of mobile blood drives; • The staff of the Blood Banks, Blood Transfusion Stations, and the National Blood Transfusion Center for their unwavering dedication and commitment; • The technical and financial partners, whose support enabled the National Blood Safety Program (PNST) to accomplish its mission despite the challenges. The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to ensuring a safe blood supply and calls on every citizen to join the ranks of voluntary donors by participating in the ongoing national campaign.
