iciHaiti - Baie-de-Henne : Construction of a micro-water reservoir 15/06/2025 10:34:32
This project, funded by the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), is part of the Safety Net Strengthening Program for Vulnerable Populations, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Located in the locality of Jasmin, specifically in the first Citerne-Rémy section of the Baie de Henne commune, this structure has a capacity of 40.5 cubic meters. At the same time, additional work is taking place on the site, including the installation of 200 linear meters of weirs. The project, carried out under the supervision of the international NGO CARE, a recognized player in community interventions, has enabled 77 people, including 27 women, to find employment, thus contributing to improving their incomes. The project is currently 90% complete. The contractors must install a barrier to protect the enclosure and a valve to control the flow of the reservoir before delivering the structure. IH/ iciHaiti
