Mrs. Niola Lynn Sarah Dévalis Octavius, the Minister of Youth and Sports accompanied by Nicolas Janvier her Chief of Staff, Enol Exinor Director of Physical Activities and Sports and Jean Roland Dartiguenave, Coordinator of sports centers held a second working session with representatives of national sports federations and associations, on the organization of the 2025 interschool sports games.

The discussions took place in the presence of a delegation from the Ministry of National Education led by Jean Joseph, from the School Health Directorate assisted by Marie Michelle Numa and Mackenley Francillon.

Speaking on the theoretical aspect of teaching Sports Physical Education (EPS), Jean Joseph spoke of the importance of collaboration between the two ministries to perpetuate the practice of school sports and the organization of interschool games.

Minister Octavius, determined to involve all stakeholders concerned by school sports, spoke about the need to revise the draft memorandum of understanding between her Ministry and the Ministry of Education on school sports in order to proceed with the signing of a legal document establishing the bases of this partnership.

Faced with various proposals made by several representatives of sports federations and associations, Minister Octavius ​​encouraged them to regularly submit their activity programs for better harmonization of the actions to be undertaken.

Furthermore, she spoke in favor of promoting sports disciplines in schools, the collaboration of all stakeholders and the establishment of mechanisms to facilitate the holding of school sports games.

A third working session is to be held next week pending an inventory and assessment of the resources available in the sector in general with a view to opting for the best approach that could lead to the organization of interschool games. This will be an approach involving all stakeholders for better supervision of young people and the promotion of sport in schools.
