To this end, patrols and fixed points have been reinforced. Law enforcement officers have carried out routine vehicle checks and frisking of users. This intensification of the police presence, across the South-East department, is part of a new security plan put in place by Divisional Commissioner Jean Gabriel Gabart, Acting Departmental Director of the South-East Police, in order to ensure order, peace and security. It should be noted that the National Police, when continuing the hunt for armed gangs in the commune of Kenscoff, is taking the necessary steps to "lock down" the South-East department which borders the said commune.
