Security measures have been deployed by the Haitian National Police (PNH), via the Departmental Directorate of the South-East Police, on several roads in the Marigot commune; particularly in the communal sections of Péredo and Séguin and the locality of K-Jack.

To this end, patrols and fixed points have been reinforced. Law enforcement officers have carried out routine vehicle checks and frisking of users.

This intensification of the police presence, across the South-East department, is part of a new security plan put in place by Divisional Commissioner Jean Gabriel Gabart, Acting Departmental Director of the South-East Police, in order to ensure order, peace and security.

It should be noted that the National Police, when continuing the hunt for armed gangs in the commune of Kenscoff, is taking the necessary steps to "lock down" the South-East department which borders the said commune. These measures also consist of combating arms and drug trafficking in the department and allowing citizens to go about their usual activities in peace.
