iciHaiti - Port-de-Paix : Launch of the 2025 School Sports Games
On February 27, the North-West Departmental Directorate launched the 2025 School Sports Games, inaugurated by a parade bringing together several hundred students accompanied by marching bands through the city's main arteries.

These school games, which will continue until May 18, 2025, will bring together more than thirty establishments in Port-de-Paix around football and basketball competitions in the U-15 and U-20 categories. The matches will be held on the grounds of Parc Capois-la-Mort and Parc Harold Daniel, under the supervision of technicians from the Departmental Directorate, mobilized to ensure compliance with the standards in force in sports competitions dedicated to young people.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Dévalis Octavius salutes the dedication and leadership of the Departmental Directors who, across the country, have already initiated these games, thus affirming their commitment to the supervision and development of young people.

Convinced of the essential role of sport in sustainable development, she works tirelessly, alongside the executives and technicians of the Departmental Directorates, to ensure the success of these competitions. These initiatives are part of a global vision aimed at promoting academic success, physical and mental health as well as social cohesion through sports practice among young people.
