On Friday, March 14, 2025, the Haitian National Police (PNH), through the Departmental Service of the Judicial Police of the Southeast, organized a tribute evening in honor of Student Commissioner (8th cohort) Jean-Mary Louis-André, who died suddenly at the age of 56, following a faintness at the National Police Academy (Route de Frères).

This ceremony took place in front of the Jacmel Police Station, on Rue de la Comédie, in the presence of his family members, officials from the PNH Southeast Command, fellow police officers, political and judicial authorities, and loved ones.

Moving testimonies, sharing of experiences, band performances, and occasional songs performed by the PNH Southeast Choir were some of the activities that marked this event.

Please note that the funeral of police officer Jean-Mary Louis-André will be held this Saturday, March 15, 2025, in the Multipurpose Hall of the Diocese of Jacmel, in Lamandou, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
