iciHaïti - Politic : Chancellor Jean-Baptiste tours Haitian consulates in the USA
As part of his mission to ensure efficient consular services tailored to the needs of the diaspora, Chancellor Jean-Victor Harvel Jean-Baptiste toured Haitian consulates in the United States.

At the Boston consulate, which also covers the states of Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and part of Connecticut, one of the key points of his meeting was the monitoring of the emergency response unit, an essential mechanism for ensuring better protection for Haitian nationals in vulnerable situations. Furthermore, the quality of documentation services and community support remain major priorities for the Chancellery and the Government of Haiti. The Chancellor emphasized the importance of a dynamic and accessible consular service, allowing Haitians in the jurisdiction to benefit from optimal administrative and social support. At the Consulate in New York, which also serves the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, Chancellor Jean Baptiste reaffirmed the government's commitment to modernizing administrative procedures and emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue with Haitian communities to better adapt diplomatic efforts to the needs of their citizens.

At the Consulate in Atlanta, which also serves Haitian citizens in seven States : Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Texas, the Chancellor collaborated with the heads of the consulate's various services and sections to improve the quality of services offered to the Haitian community, citizen protection, and community outreach.

At the Consulate in Chicago, Haiti's largest consular mission, covering more than 27 states from the American Midwest to the Pacific, Chancellor Jean-Baptiste worked with the heads of the Consulate's various departments and sections to better meet the needs of Haitian nationals living in the United States.
