iciHaiti - Education : Commemoration of the 160th anniversary of the Petit Séminaire Collège Saint-Martial

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, as part of the 160th anniversary of the Petit Séminaire Collège Saint-Martial (PSCSM), a commemorative mass was held at Saint-Pierre Church in Pétion-ville. Bishop Max Leroy Mésidor served as the main celebrant. Presidential Advisors Leslie Voltaire and Smith Augustin were present, as well as the Secretary General of the Prime Minister's Office, Jacques Marie Francis Gratia, the Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities, Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé, and many other dignitaries, as well as students from the past and present, among others.

In his homily, the Archbishop of Port-au-Prince emphasized that the celebration of the 160th anniversary of the PSCSM is a source of joy despite its relocation due to insecurity. He took the opportunity to express his sympathies to all the victims of the crisis and expressed his hope for a return to peace and education throughout the country.

According to Bishop Mésidor, the Petit Séminaire Collège Saint-Martial must continue to fulfill its mission of educating Haitian youth for a better future in the country. He congratulated and thanked all those who have helped the institution to always hold high the banner of the Gospel, its concern for the common good, and its homeland.
