iciHaiti - Works : Rehabilitation of 65 km of National Road #6

On Saturday, March 15, 2025, Engineer Raphaël Hosty, Minister of Public Works, visited the rehabilitation project for a 54.46 km section of roadway, with an average width of 7.20 m, of National Road #6 (RN6), connecting the North and Northeast Departments (Carrefour La Mort - Ouanaminthe). This 12-month project, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), is 45% complete.

Current work includes :
- Upgrading the roadbed;
- Reinforcing the asphalt concrete surface course;
- Maintaining engineering structures, sanitation, and drainage;
- Installing horizontal and vertical signage and adding illuminated signals. Due to strong public demand, an amendment was developed to include the 10-km bypass through Trou-du-Nord.

Expected completion date : January 2026.
