Following the recent heavy rains in the Grand'Anse Department, the Ministry of Public Works (MTPTC) has initiated clearing operations on National Road 7 (RN7), the route connecting Les Cayes to Jérémie, particularly at the Glace River.

This severe weather caused landslides and debris accumulations, obstructing several sections and making traffic hazardous.

The torrential rains led to landslides and debris piles, necessitating rapid intervention to ensure the safety of road users and smooth traffic flow.

The Ministry takes this opportunity to reiterate the importance of road safety, particularly during rainy weather. In this context, road users are strongly recommended to exercise caution, especially on roads that may have sustained damage.
