iciHaiti - Security : Update from the PNH and the MMSS
On Monday, April 21, 2025, Divisional Commissioner Michel-Ange Louis Jeune, spokesperson for the Haitian National Police (PNH), and Commissioner Jack Ombaka for the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS), announced that, contrary to reports published by some foreign media suggesting that the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS) is not supporting the Haitian National Police (PNH) in operations to dismantle armed gangs, the police force wishes to clarify that the MMSS is heavily involved in the field operations alongside the PNH.

Indeed, in the commune of Kenscoff, as on all other fronts, the Haitian National Police and the MMSS are working in perfect synergy as part of efforts to continue the fight against gangs in the country.

Should be noted that Rameau Normil, the acting Commander-in-Chief of the PNH, and Inspector General Godfrey Otunge, Commander of the MMSS, are developing strong relationships by constantly reviewing strategies to better address the insecurity that prevents the population from going about their business.
