On the night of Thursday to Friday, May 9, 2025, a violent terrorist attack against the police substation in the commune of Furcy in Kenscoff, carried out by heavily armed men from the criminal coalition "Viv Ansanm", forced the police, outnumbered and outgunned, to abandon the premises to the attackers.

Informed of the situation, the Haitian National Police (PNH) quickly mobilized specialized units to intervene. After several hours of fighting, law enforcement officers managed to regain control of the substation during the day, forcing the terrorists to flee.

At the scene, police officers discovered several firearms and ammunition left behind by the terrorists, who had carefully planned this operation.

According to Jean Massillon, the Mayor of Kenscoff, the attack resulted in several deaths, including terrorists. Two police officers were also injured by gunfire.

Furthermore, the Haitian National Police (PNH) has deployed a significant security presence in strategic areas to protect citizens.
